The D-O-double-G has been hanging around Westwood a lot lately and this time showed some love to the Bruins during the annual Memorial Day weekend, JazzReggae Festival on the campus of UCLA. Snoop Dogg had headlined the Jam Day this past Sunday, with other acts like Aloe Blacc and The Internet on the first of the two-day festival. Most of his set was from his recent album ‘Reincarnation’ which he sings as his reggae-inspired alter ego, Snoop Lion, but the Bruins in the crowd did not seem to mind, especially with attire he was sporting.

That is quite a nice jersey the Dogg Father is wearing. I wonder if it will be available at the UCLA Store in Ackerman Union anytime soon?

In addition to the festival, Snoop Dogg has been giving support to the UCLA football team and head coach Jim Mora the past few months. The Bruins have also reciprocated that support by recently hosting the Snoop Youth Football League on the Bruin’s own Spaulding Field.

There is definitely a strong bond forming between Snoop Dogg and the Bruins. It is a relationship that might land the rapper’s son, 4-star wide receiver Cordell Broadus, at UCLA. Broadus has thought to be a UCLA lean for a while, even without the bond his father is making. Not only is coach Mora doing a hell of a job with his recruiting, but Broadus is said to be close friends with 2015 UCLA commit, 5-star quarterback Josh Rosen.

Ain’t nothing but a B-thang, baby! B for Bruins, that is.
