It looks as if famed rapper Snoop Dogg and UCLA Head Coach Jim Mora are hanging out a lot more these days, but this weekend it was to host Snoop Dogg’s Snoop Youth Football League. UCLA’s Spaulding Field played host to the first annual SYFL Youth Football 7v7 Football Tournament on Saturday.

The SYFL is a non-profit organization that serves to teach inner-city kids about the game of football through teamwork and sportsmanship. From their website, the objective of the SYFL is:

"…To provide youth, regardless of race, color, creed, or economic background the chance to learn the values of character, integrity, discipline, and team work through football and cheer; to bring all other communities together through a common interest in sports; to promote fair play and fellowship; to teach the game elements promoting safety, enjoyment, and healthy competition.”"

Today, Coach Mora had tweeted out some photos of the event  and gave his praise about the music superstar.

Personally, I love the jersey Snoop has on. Not only are they made by Adidas, but the color scheme and font is oddly similar to UCLA Football.

Snoop cares about the children, Go SYFL! Go Bruins!
