The UCLA Women’s Water Polo team are in the Championship Game! The Bruins beat cross-town rival USC 5-3 at Southern California’s own, Uytensu Aquatic Center. The win puts UCLA in range to capture their eighth national championship and UCLA’s 111th. The Bruins take on their rival from the north, the Stanford Cardinal, in the NCAA Championshop Game today at 5:30 p.m.

Taking on Stanford will be a tough task, but nothing the Bruins can not handle. Standford is 24-1 on the year, and that one loss was to the Bruins. UCLA, who is 27-4, had defeated Stanford 9-6 in the UC Irvine Invitational in February. These two teams have faced each other twice after that with the Cardinal grabbing 9-8 and 6-5 victories.

That all ceases to matter at 5:30 p.m. when these two teams go for it one last time… for the NCAA Championship.

Go Bruins!
