UCLA Athletics: Conference Championship Week

This week, UCLA Athletics will have several of their sports programs competing in their respective conference games, matches and tournaments. UCLA Women’s Tennis, Women’s Golf, Men’s Golf and Women’s Water Polo will all be busy going for conference glory this weekend. Here is a break down of each teams competition dates, times and locations:

Women’s Tennis

The #1 UCLA Bruins (20-3, 6-1 Pac-12) will be competing in the Pac-12 Women’s Tennis Championship in Ojai, California starting Thursday April, 24 and going until April 27. The Bruins will be lead by (individually ranked) #2 Robin Anderson and #11 Jennifer Brady and #13 Chanelle Van Nguyen. The Finals for both Singles and Doubles competition will be held Sunday, April 27 and will be aired on the Pac-12 Networks at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., respectively.

Women’s Golf

The #2 UCLA Women’s Golf Team will be traveling up to Corvallis, Oregon as Oregon State hosts this year’s Pac-12 Women’s Golf Championship at the Trysting Tree Golf Club, which runs from April 25-27. The Women’s team will be lead by Ani Gulugian and Allison Lee who both have season averages of 73.1 and 70.7, respectively. The Bruins are set to start on the 10th tee at 9 a.m. with Stanford on the morning of Friday, April 25.


Men’s Golf

The #14 ranked Bruins will be heading to Marana, Arizona to take place in the Pac-12 Men’s Golf Championship hosted by the University of Arizona. The tournament will be held at The Gallery Golf Club on April 25-27, with tee times set for 7:30 a.m.

Women’s Water Polo

The #2 UCLA Women’s Water Polo team (22-3, 6-1 MPSF) will be participating in the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation Women’s Water Polo Tournament, which will be held at USC this season. The Bruins will be taking on Cal State Bakersfield at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 25 in the quarterfinal match. The Bruins will be lead by MPSF Player of the Week, Emily Donahue, who had three goals last week when UCLA beat (then) #2 USC.
