UCLA Football: Noel Mazzone is giving some pointers to Tim Tebow

UCLA Football’s offensive coordinator, Noel Mazzone, is a well-regarded coach on the offensive side of the ball. His work with quarterbacks — ASU’s Brock Osweiler being the most recent — tends to be pretty nice and, considering the talent we’ve managed to stock-pile at that position (with Devin Fuller and T.J. Millweard joining Brett Hundley, Richard Brehaut and Kevin Prince), things should be pretty exciting.

Of course, Noel Mazzone apparently is the go-to guy for NFL quarterbacks, too, as the greatest quarterback to ever touch a football in the history of American football history, Tim Tebow, asked to work with Mazzone to develop his mechanics. From CBS’ Bruce Feldman, via SB Nation:

Gorgeous. You know when the best QB ever since probably the beginning of time is asking you for help, you’ve made it.

In all seriousness, this is actually pretty promising. UCLA has some QBs with serious potential, while Richard Brehaut — in my opinion, the better of the two senior QBs — still has all the tangibles to be a pure passer in Mazzone’s spread offense. Brett Hundley is still in need of developing, too, and he’s got four years to work under Mazzone to realize all of that gorgeous potential. And then, of course, Devin Fuller (not exactly a Mazzone-prototypical QB, mind you) and T.J. Millweard (a total prototypical Mazzone QB) will be waiting in the wings.

Exciting times here in Westwood. Spring ball can’t come soon enough.

GO BRUINS!!!
