UCLA Basketball: The 25 Greatest Bruins of all time
18. Lonzo Ball, G (2016-17)
Why Ball is on this list:
As one of the most sought-after recruits during the 2016 recruiting class, Ball was a sight to behold. As a star on the Chino Hills High School basketball team, which he led with his two younger brothers to an undefeated season, Ball had all the tools to make an impact in college.
Dubbed a “generational player”, Ball excelled in all facets of the game. His focus was not just scoring, but getting the rock to his teammates to maximize scoring for the team as a whole. His unselfishness is what helped lead the UCLA basketball team to a 31-5 record in 2017. With Ball in control, the Bruins were one of the best offensive squads in the country and the top-scoring team for the season.
