UCLA Football 2018: Projecting the Depth Chart – Linebackers
Outside Linebackers
- Keisean Lucier-South, 6-4, 235, R-Jr.
- Mique Juarez, 6-2, 245, R-So.
- Bo Calvert, 6-3, 235, Fr.
The Bruins are going to be more aggressive, that is a given, so they will need players that fit that mold. On the strong side, Keisean Lucier-South will hold down that part of the field.

Since he has put on the blue and gold, he has slowly been making improvements. Last season he showed a lot of growth in a position group that needed a leader and has already shown that he can easily step into that role.
In the spring, he adhered to his new role flawlessly, though it did require a little bit of time to transition from DE to OLB. Still, KLS was able to not only attack from that side of the line but also showed that he can stick with his man in zone coverage.
Mique Juarez is making a comeback. Last year he played sparingly but looks to have more of a defined role this season. He was originally slotted to play backup in the weakside/EDGE rusher position, but his talents are more suited for the spot behind KLS. This season, he is a lot more fit and is said to look like the 5-star recruit that originally entered the program a few years ago.
Bo Calvert was a highly touted recruit and should make a difference in the coming seasons, but right now he needs to get more accustomed to the defensive strategy and prove he can make as much of an impact as the players ahead of him.
