The UCLA Basketball team has scheduled a home-and-home series with the Cincinnati Bearcats, which will begin in the 2017-18 season.

Next season got a little bit tougher for the UCLA Basketball team and it’s not because they lost another player. Yesterday, it was reported that the Bruins will begin a home-and-home series with the Cincinnati Bearcats.

UCLA recently rumbled with Cincinnati in the 2017 NCAA Tournament.  Both teams met in the round of 32 in this last Big Dance. The defensive-minded Bearcats had stifled the Bruins in the first half, but UCLA came roaring back with Lonzo Ball leading the way for a 79-67 victory.

Both schools will continue their battle next season when they play at Pauley Pavilion in Westwood. During the 2018-19 season, they take their fight to the Fifth Third Arena in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Though the styles will remain the same, the teams themselves (especially UCLA), will look completely different from the 2017 NCAA Tournament.

As of now, the Bruins will potentially lose up to seven players. Two of them to graduation and five (potentially) to the NBA Draft. Luckily the Bruins have the #2 recruiting class in the nation coming in to help out next year. They are going to need it because aside from Cincinnati, UCLA has to tangle with Kentucky in the CBS Sports classic in New Orleans.

This will be the fifth time in four seasons that the Wildcats and Bruins have met. UK were responsible for UCLA’s exit in this last tournament.
