Former 5-star center Chase Jeter is considering the UCLA Basketball team as a landing spot after transferring from Duke.

In the age of one-and-dones, teams are looking to take what they can get to restock the cupboard, but when a prosperous opportunity arises, teams need to jump at the chance. This could be the case for the UCLA Basketball team who is being considered by former Duke player Chase Jeter.

Jeter did not find a lot of time on the court in two seasons under Coach Mike Krzyzewski. Jeter played just under 15 minutes per game, scoring only 2.6 points and grabbing 2.7 rebounds for the 2016-17 season.

Jeter origanially comes from Basketball powerhouse Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas. As a 5-star prospect, he displayed good positioning around the rim and can throw down dunk after dunk, but this is not the limit to his offensive talent.

He is also good off dribble for a 6’10”, 240 lbs. big man and has some range with his outside shot. Jeter also has some defensive skills as a rim guardian and is fierce with his shot blocking abilities.

With this talent, it is unknown why he did not flourish at Duke, though like most blue bloods, the Blue Devils always have a deep supply of talent.

UCLA is having an exodus of their own as five of the top seven scorers are gone, potentially. Yesterday, Ike Anigbogu became the third Bruin freshman to declare for the NBA Draft, though without am agent, he has the option to return.

Though UCLA reloads with three big men in the 2017 class, they also have the potential to lose a few players after next season. If Jeter selects UCLA, this will be perfect timing as the Bruins could use his talent and experience for the 2018-19 season.
