The UCLA Basketball team got some love from Bleacher Report who named Aaron Holiday and Lonzo Ball in their post-season honors.

BOOM! The UCLA Basketball team is just racking up the awards and today got a few notable ones from Bleacher Report.

Bruin sophomore guard Aaron Holiday has been named the Sixth Man of the Year and freshman guard Lonzo Ball has been named the Freshman of the Year.

Let us start with Holiday, who is more than deserving of this honor. We do not want to toot our own horn here at Go Joe Bruin, but we named Holiday the best Sixth Man in nation early in the season.

After starting last season, Holiday came off the bench with the addition of Ball. Holiday did not take this negatively, but in fact set out to prove that he is as good as any of the Bruin starters.

Holiday was the spark off the bench that UCLA needed. Whenever he would come in for Isaac Hamilton or Bryce Alford, Holiday would instantly kick it into high gear.

Holiday ended the regular season as one of six players to average double-digit scoring. His stats for the season are: 13.0 points, 4.3 assists, 3.0 rebounds, .500 field goal percentage and a .431 3-point field goal percentage.

Bleacher Report also added another Bruinsm to their list of honors as Lonzo Ball was named Freshman of the Year.

Ball was incredible as the floor general of this team, leading them from a 15-17 record last year to  28-3 this year. On the year he averaged 14.9 ppg, 6.2 rpg and a nation leading 7.8 assist per game.
