The UCLA Basketball team stood tall against a tough Texas A&M team to win the Wooden Legacy tournament.

This was a really good game for the UCLA Basketball team. They may not have scored 100 or blown out their opponent, but int he face of a fierce and methodical opponent, the Bruins came out on top.

It was beautiful.

The Bruins, who are not known for defense, did a decent job of slowing down the Aggies. They limited them to 40% shooting on the night, making 26-of-65. UCLA did slightly better at 47.5%.

This game was full of runs. Texas A&M started things out with an 8-2 run, a perfect intro into how this game was going to be played. For the duration of the contest, both teams were trading blows.

Isaac Hamilton had carried UCLA through much of the first half as he dropped in 17. Aaron HolidayBryce Alford and Lonzo Ball were non-factors until after the half as they finished strong with 7, 13 and 16 points, respectively.

Ball finished with a double-double as he added 10 assists to his tally (and an also impressive 3 blocks).

As the game was getting into its final moments, both teams were battling to the very end. UCLA was not just able to keep the lead, but they did not allow Texas A&M to score. Alford hit the final three to seal the deal for the Bruins and take the 74-67 win.

The Bruins held their ground and answered back when they needed to. It was a very impressive win considering how they ave been blowing out cupcakes (Nebraska notwithstanding).

Isaac Hamilton was named to the All-Tournament team while Lozno Ball was named tournament MVP.
