UCLA Basketball: Bruins Picked to Finish 3rd in the Pac-12
The UCLA Basketball team has been selected 3rd in the Pac-12 preseason poll, just behind Oregon and Arizona.
There is definitely a feeling that this UCLA Basketball team is going to be something special. After finishing in 10th place in conference with a 15-17 overall and 6-12 Pac-12 record, the Bruins are expected to have a major turn around.
That major turn around has been predicted in the form of a 3rd place pick in the Pac-12 Basketball preseason poll at Pac-12 Men’s Basketball Media Day.
This season the Bruins return a core of experienced players to put this turnaround in effect. Bryce Alford, Thomas Welsh, Isaac Hamilton, Aaron Holiday and Prince Ali will all try to lead the Bruins back to glory in this critical season for Head Coach Steve Alford. The good news is that they are not alone.
The main reason UCLA Basketball is expected to have a huge turn around is because of their three in-coming freshman. PG Lonzo Ball, PF T.J. Leaf and C Ike Anigbogu not only bring in talent but could make enough of an impact to elevate the Bruins back to elite status.
Though it is an improvement, they still have work to do, especially if they want to top last season’s Pac-12 Champion Oregon who was chosen to win the conference for the first time in the Pac-12 Basketball preseason poll history.
