UCLA Football: Surprisingly, The Bruins Are Still in the Hunt for the Pac-12 South
Despite two losses in conference, it is still early enough in the season for the UCLA Football team to turn things around and win the Pac-12 South Division.
Unfortunately, it is going to be very hard to do that. UCLA Football, always the enigma.
The fact of the matter is that the South Division is still wide open and UCLA still has a shot. There is still a lot of football to be played.
No one would have ever guessed that the standings look the way they do. UCLA and USC are in the bottom half while Colorado, Arizona State and Utah are all tied for first. It is madness I tell you and it is only going to get crazier.
Pac-12 South Standings
Arizona State 2-1, 5-1
Utah 2-1, 5-1
Colorado 2-1, 4-2
USC 2-2, 3-3
UCLA 1-2, 3-3
Arizona 0-3, 2-4
Today, the Bruins travel to Pullman, Washngton where a storm is awaiting them. Both a natural and an offensively charged storm.

The game is supposed to get some wind and rain, but that is nothing compared to the offense that Washington State will attack with. The Bruin defense can slow them down, but it is going to have to be a total team effort if they want to get a win.
Last week, the Bruin offense hit a few walls against Arizona State and even though QB Josh Rosen threw for 400 yards, the running game totaled -1 yards.
And that is the problem with UCLA, they are not consistent and it is affecting the entire team.
UCLA is better than their 3-3 record. They have the tools, they are just not executing.
Whether it is chemistry, play calling or roster management, the Bruins need to reassess their plan of attack, especially if they want to stay in the hunt for the South Division.

It is still possible for the Bruins to win the South, but not if they play like they did against ASU.
