In this mini episode of the What’s Bruin Show, we take a look at the UCLA Football team and preview their match up with the BYU Cougars.

Since the What’s Bruin Show did not have a full episode this week, we are bringing you our previews in smaller snippets. A few days ago, we had an excellent interview with BYU beat writer Jared Lloyd who gave his insight on the the Cougar program.

Today, hosts Jake Merrifield and Bill Shirley gave their take on the UCLA as they get ready for another tough preseason game.

The BYU Cougars are changing things up this year after long-time head coach Bronco Mendenhall jumped ship for the gig at Virginia, leaving new HC Kalani Sitake to shape the football program as he sees fit.

Part of that change included bringing in former Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer in as the new offensive coordinator. With that, the Cougars are now utilizing a pro-style offense which will be more focused on the run with RB Jamaal Williams and QB Taysom Hill.
