UCLA Football: Jim Mora Recaps Fall Camp, Talks Injuries and Preps For the Season

UCLA Football Head Coach Jim Mora talked about the team after two weeks of fall camp and the transition to preparing for the beginning of the season.

The UCLA Football team is back in Westwood after two weeks of fall camp which means that it is time to start looking at the forthcoming season.

In less than two weeks, the Bruins will start their 2016 campaign as they travel to College Station, “Home of the 12th Man”, to take on Texas A&M on Saturday, September 3.

With less than a fortnight to kickoff, the Bruins are starting to prepare for the season but are still tying up some loose ends from fall camp.

Yesterday after practice, Mora talked to the media about the transition from conditioning to game planning and gave several updates on the team.

One of the more interesting things Mora talked about the matchup against former UCLA OC Noel Mazzone. He said that even though UCLA knows Mazzone, the new Aggie OC will throw in wrinkles to his game and emphasized the potency of his spread offense.

The coach was also asked about his new Twitter account and stated that it was to help promote UCLA and he football team.

Injury Update

Jacob Tuioti-Mariner has appendicitis and is taking anti-biotics in hope to hold off surgery.  He could return in the next two days.

Marcus Moore is still out with a back injury. He will redshirt this season.

Paco Perez is close to retuning. He should be practicing this week.

Takkarist McKinley is still recovering from a groin injury.

Cameron Griffin and Deon Hollins suffered a concussion. Griffin is still being held out of practice. Hollins is practicing in a red non-contact jersey.
