After years of shoulder stripe mishaps with Adidas, has UCLA Football finally gotten their traditional jerseys back?

All it takes is one picture. Just one picture to satisfy a proud fan base.

That picture was tweeted out today by the UCLA Football Twitter account stating that the season “can’t come soon enough”. Yes Bruin fans, with it being the summer solstice today,  there is a certain mysticism about the today’s events.

That goes double for UCLA football on this day, especially after this picture was released. What is so great about this picture of a person modeling a UCLA uniform? There are shoulder stripes.

Boom.

Is this the (unofficial) unveiling of the new jersey for the 2016 season? If it is, UCLA fans will be quite happy.

One thing that has irked UCLA Football fans over the last decade is the fact that Adidas never quite got the shoulder stripes down. With all those years of trying to get the uniform right, it seems that Adidas has finally, in their last season representing UCLA, got it right.

With UCLA electing to go wth Under Armour as their new apparel provider, every single UCLA sport will have their gear supplied by Adidas one last time. The phrase, “too little, too late” comes to mind.

It’s a damn shame that Adidas finally got it right, but at least now Bruin fans can have a jersey made by the 3 Stripes that they can be proud of. I know I am going to get one. Now let’s just hope they changed the pants to gold from mustard,

Go Bruins!
