The Oregon Softball Twitter account tried to troll the UCLA Softball Twitter account after the Duck’s Super Regional loss, only to realize they are just Oregon and not the 113 time national champion-winning Bruins.

Rivalries. They are a spectacular thing. Especially when they have even more on the line, like a trip to the Women’s College World Series.

Case in point, after getting blasted by the #5 Oregon Softball team 8-1 on Saturday in Game 1 of the Super Regional, the #12 UCLA Softball bounced back on Sunday in Games 2 and 3.

In Game 2, UCLA was able to force extra innings after being behind the entire contest and eventually took the game, 2-1. That forced a third game and the momentum the Bruins had propelled them to a 2-1 victory over the Ducks.

Not only is it great for a UCLA team to move on in their respective playoffs, but to do it against an opponent like Pac-12 rival Oregon is even better. Unfortunately, there is always a loser and unfortunately, that mentality came out from the Ducks after their epic meltdown on Sunday.

After Oregon won Game 1, Oregon softball fans were less than cordial, which prompted the UCLA Softball Twitter account to respond to the hate. Oregon then responded to that and then all rivalry broke loose.

But Oregon kept on going. With that, Bruin fans came to the aid of their school after Game 2 and 3 and shut down the Ducks. As they do in life.

Silly Ducks. When will you realize money can’t buy you championships? They just buy you ridiculous jerseys (yeah, I said it!). Go Bruins!
