The UCLA Basketball team has eight games left in the regular season and then it is on to the Pac-12 Tournament. If they do not change things up, that will be all they have.

There is not much Bruin in Westwood with the men’s basketball team. Last week, UCLA got smoked by USC and now embark on a two game road trip to the desert which might not be favorable given the way UCLA plays away from Pauley Pavilion. And then there is the rest of the season.

The way things are going, UCLA Basketball is going no where.

Sure, there is a chance for the Bruins to turn things around in the next few weeks, but realistically, it seems that UCLA might be cutting their 2015-16 season short. With that, we look at their final eight games and try to determine where UCLA basketball will finish at the end of this season.

UCLA Bruins

At Arizona – Fri, Feb 12

Since shocking the Wildcats on Russell Westbrook Night, UCLA Basketball has gone down hill. That does not matter to Arizona who will be looking for revenge against the Bruins and the Wildcats will not care if they are taking on a stout or limping Bruin squad. UCLA LOSS.

At Arizona State – Sun, Feb 14

UCLA barely beat ASU in Pauley Pavilion last month. With this game being played in Tempe (and the Bruin’s penchant for playing poorly on the road), consider this a UCLA LOSS.

Vs Utah – Thu, Feb 18

The Bruins have not completely benefitted from home court advantage lately, but they do play better in Pauley then they have on the road. They also seem to match up well with Utah so if they do not play down to the Utes, this should be a UCLA WIN.

Vs Colorado – Sun, Feb 20

After a win at home, the Bruins should feel the urgency to continue fighting for a better spot in the rankings. They should easily take out this Colorado team and get the UCLA WIN.

At California – Thu, Feb 25

UCLA is back on the road and looking to get a much needed win away from Pauley. Unfortunately they will come up against an equally underachieving Cal team that will somehow get up for this game and produce a UCLA LOSS.

At Stanford – Sat, Feb 27

UCLA, ever so inconsistent, will bounce back in this UCLA WIN

Vs Oregon – Wed, Mar 2

…and then lose at home by a big margin to the top team in the Pac-12. This will be a UCLA LOSS.

Vs Oregon State – Sat, Mar 5

The Bruins will end the season on a good note against a team they have already beaten. Never the less, this UCLA WIN has the Bruins finish 4-4 in there last eight games and have a Pac-12 record of 8-10.

Next: The UCLA Basketball All-Time Team

With this record, the UCLA Basketball team could be looking at a 7th or 8th place finish in the Pac-12. If the season ended today, that would set up the Bruins with a first round match-up with 10 Stanford or possibly 9 Oregon State. The unfortunate thing is that if they win, they would face either USC or Oregon, two teams UCLA has not beat this season.

Unfortunately it seems that this is where the Bruins end their season, missing out on the NCAA Tournament, though possibly getting an NIT bid.
