UCLA Football Recruiting: 2016 Could Be Jim Mora’s Best Class

The 2016 recruiting class for the UCLA Football program could be the best under Head Coach Jim Mora.

We are still two days away from National Signing Day and the UCLA Football team already has a strong class, which could quite possibly be the best in Jim Mora‘s tenure.

That is saying a lot considering he has landed a Top 20 class in each year he has been in charge of the program.

The pinnacle, thus far, was 2013 where UCLA had the #3 overall class (according to Scout.com), as they were able to land several highly rated players like Eddie Vanderdoes, Kenny Clark, Caleb Benenoch and Myles Jack, just to name a few.

This year could be along the same lines as that class as the Bruins already have a Top 10 class and could land a few more big time prospects as they are in good standing with up to seven top recruits, all of which will be announcing their commitments on National Signing Day (with one making his decision the night before).

More from Go Joe Bruin

Last Friday, the Bruins got a commitment from Damian Alloway who became the 4th 4-star wide receiver to commit to UCLA and was the overall tenth 4-star rated player to give his pledge to the Bruins.

This Wednesday, February 3, the Bruins could land several more 4-stars like TE Devin Asiasi, DT Boss Tagaloa and ATH Brandon Burton, but they also have their sights set on one of the biggest fish of them all… 5-star LB Mique Juarez.

Landing a few of these players would definitely have UCLA climb the rankings, but imagine if they were to get all of them! Unlike the last few seasons where UCLA was seemingly in the mix for a handful of recruits, only to be let down by said recruits choosing other schools, this season seems to have a lot more promise.

Though we can only predict what some of these prospects might do, hopefully Bruin fans everywhere will like the end result on National Signing Day.
