UCLA Football quarterback Josh Rosen has been named to the 2015 Football Writers Association of America All-Freshman Team.

Despite the lackluster season for UCLA Football, true freshman quarterback Josh Rosen has been selected as part of the FWAA All-Freshman Team.

The true freshman out of Bellflower, CA was the only quarterback named to the list after leading the UCLA Football team to an 8-5 season.

Rosen was only one of three Pac-12 players named to the team along with RB Myles Gaskin (Washington) and DB Kareem Orr (Arizona State).

Rosen had exploded onto the scene in his very first game of the year against the Virginia Cavaliers where he threw for 350 yards and 3 touchdowns, but that was just the beginning.

Rosen had led the Bruins to 8 wins which included huge victories over UNLV, Arizona, Cal, Utah and a 41-0 shutout against Oregon State (the UCLA Football team’s last shut out was in 2007).

During the 2015 season, he also broke several records including most passing yards by a freshman, most passes without an interception and the single-game completion record.

Rosen ended his year with 3,668 passing yards, 23 touchdowns, 11 interceptions, 134.3 efficiency and 60% passing completion. Per game, he averaged 282.2 passing yards, which was 4th best in the Pac-12.

His achievements not only went above and beyond to make him one of the best QBs in the Pac-12, but with the graduation of Pac-12 players like Kevin Hogan, Cody Kessler and Jared Goff, Rosen is expected to be the top quarterback in the conference next year.
