The UCLA Basketball team could have one of the best teams in the Steve Alford era, but how good are they? Are they better than last season’s team?

There are many factors that go into determining if a college basketball team has improved from year to year. Things like key losses, recruiting additions, depth, talent and the development of players have to be taken into account.

All of these (and I would throw in coaching, but that is for another article) help determine where a team is at any given year as the goal is too improve.

With that we look the 2015-16 UCLA Basketball roster and compare it to last season’s, and try to determine which has the better roster. We look at the starting front court, the starting back court and the bench and make try to match them up against each other.
