With the way recruiting is going in this day in age, schools have to be unique and find a way to stand out amongst they many suitors to the future players of college football. That is exactly what UCLA did as they posted a fake ad in ESPN Magazine in order to sway the #1 tight end in the nation, Chris Clark into considering Westwood as the perfect landing spot for the 6’6″, 247 lbs. footballer from Avon, CT.

College Spun had reported that the Bruins put an ad that was more foretelling than factually correct. In the article, as College Spun dictates, UCLA predicts the career of the tight end if he were to commit to the Bruin football program. According to the article, Clark will score a touchdown on his first play (a la Brett Hundley), be an All-America in his three years in Westwood and claim the Mackey Award (for best TE in the country) in his junior year while leading the Bruins to a national championship.

Wow.

To top it off, it not only did it get Clark’s attention, but it looks like it might have also made a good impression on him.

Currently, UCLA is high on Clark’s list and is one of two teams he is highly considering. The other is Michigan who just got a lot more attractive to recruits with the hiring of former Stanford and San Francisco 49ers coach Jim Harbaugh who is already making a dent on the recruiting trail.

Though Clark has yet to commit, one has to love the expectations a team sees in their prospect. That is the #BruinRevolution for you!
