Eric Kendricks, The All-American – The Bruin Linebacker Is Named To The AP 2nd Team Defense
Eric Kendricks. Butkus Award winner. The Lott IMPACT Trophy winner. The leading solo tackler in the nation. The leading tackler in UCLA history. Now, Mr. Kendricks has another accolade to add to his illustrious career… AP All-American.
After helping UCLA get to a 9-3 season that will end with a trip to the Valero Alamo Bowl on January 2, Eric Kendricks’ efforts have gotten him named to the AP All-American 2nd Team Defense. With this latest honor, Kendricks has not only solidified himself as the best defender on the Bruins football team this season, but has also put himself in the conversation as one of the greatest Bruin defenders ever.

It is unfortunate that the conference he resides in has overlooked his efforts, though the Pac-12 as a whole was loaded with talent. Still, for the Pac-12 to vote him to the All-Conference second team when he has clearly made an impact nation-wide is something that can be over looked. The fact of the matter is that Eric Kendricks was one of the best defenders this season and one of the greatest to ever wear blue and gold.
Thank you Mr. Kendricks and good luck at the next level!
