  • Oregon had only lost one game this season to the Arizona Wildcats, but the Ducks had gotten their revenge this past Friday night in the Pac-12 Championship Game when they beat the Wildcats 51-13. That win not only crowned them as the 2014 Pac-12 Champions, but seemed to have solidified their spot in the four-team playoff.

This contest at the Rose Bowl will be one of the more explosive games this bowl season as it pits two high-octane offenses against each other in what critics are saying will be “last year’s Heisman winner versus what could be this year’s Heisman winner”. That is right, last season’s winner, FSU’s Jameis Winston, will be going against a player who is clearly the best in country this season in Oregon’s Marcus Mariota.

The rest of the bowl schedule will be announced shortly as the College Football Playoff committee is finishing up their final rankings, which will help them decide what teams will play in the four major non-playoff bowls.
