The UCLA Women’s Volleyball team has really stepped up their game since a year ago. Only two years removed from a 2011 National Championship, the 2013 Bruins headed in a direction that was not that familiar to them… not playing in the post-season. UCLA went 15-15 in a year that was more of a transition than hitting bottom, but one year later, these women are back in familiar territory.
Behind senior outside-hitter Karsta Lowe, the Bruins are the #12 ranked team in this year’s tourney and are looking to make a splash. For the first and seconds round of the tournament, Pauley Pavilion will play host to UCLA, LIU Brooklyn, San Diego and Long Beach State. Here is the tournament information:
1st Round, Friday, December 5
Long Beach State Vs. San Diego, 5:30 p.m. PT
LIU Brooklyn Vs. UCLA, 8 p.m. PT
2nd Round, Saturday, December 6
LBSU/San Diego winner Vs. LIU Brooklyn/UCLA winner, 7 p.m. PT
Tickets for both rounds can be purchased HERE for only $18.
