In Episode 42 of the What’s Bruin Podcast, hosts Bill Shirley, Jake Merrifield along with guest host Jamaal Artis and I get into the sweet California road trip up to the Bay Area as we not only give you the buzz on what is going down at Berkeley, but we took in a football game as well! Yes indeed, not only did we go to the game, but we talk a little bit about it as well.
In a close 36-34 victory, UCLA beat Cal and managed to break the Berkeley curse, but they did it in a most painful way. Several things are keeping the Bruins from being an elite team and we get into what those are as we pick apart The Game That Was.
Before we preview the next game, we learn a little bit about the history of the Bruin’s next opponent Colorado in ‘Jake’s Trivia. In The Game That Will Be, we take a look at the Buffaloes and see if they will be any sort of threat to the Bruins. We then talk at length about what else is going down in the Pac-12 and who UCLA needs to win and lose for the Bruins to have a shot at the Pac-12 South. Dare we say, “Go Team From Across Town?” Not quite.
We then get into some local sports talk as we look into how reporting is not quite reporting anymore, specifically with the Los Angeles Lakers. All of this and a lot of tomfoolery as we reminisce about the weekend up North in Episode 42 of the What’s Bruin Podcast.
