UCLA Football Re-Enters The AP Poll At #25 After Win Against Cal

facebooktwitterreddit

The UCLA Bruins are moving in the right direction after a tough 36-34 win over California Golden Bears up in the Bay Area. After two losses to Utah and Oregon which eventually knocked UCLA out of the Top 25 last week, the Bruins re-enter the AP Poll at #25. With the state the Bruins are in, they have a lot more to worry about than a poll ranking, but at the same time, it is always nice to have a number preceding your school’s name.

With this, the Pac-12 conference keeps six teams in the Top 25. The only other change is Stanford dropping out of the poll with a 26-10 loss at Arizona State. Every Pac-12 team currently ranked moved up at least one spot, with Oregon and Arizona State each gaining the most as they move up three spots after their respective victories. Oregon beat Washington 45-20.

The Bruins have a chance to move up again next week as they take on the Colorado Buffaloes in Boulder next Saturday. Aside from Colorado having a dismal 2-5, 0-4 record this season, the Bruins are on a 7-game road win streak. Even if the Bruins struggle through a win against the Buffs, expect them to move up after winning 8 games in a row away from the Rose Bowl. The season might not be going as many Bruin fans hoped, but the bottom line is that it is going in the right direction.
