UCLA Football Top 5 Plays Of The Season, So Far

Not all is doom and gloom in Westwood. Despite two bad losses, UCLA has had some really impressive stretches in the early season. The Bruins have had some downs, but they have also had some really exciting ups. With UCLA trying to get back on track as they visit Cal this weekend, let us revisit some of the more exciting and game-changing plays in the first half of the season. Hopefully they can have some more starting this Saturday,

5. Eric Kendricks intercepts the ball against Virginia and takes it to the house.

After the Bruins put up two defensive touchdowns against the Cavaliers, Kendricks tops it with the teams second interception run back for a touchdown, this time, from 37 yards out.

4. Ishmael Adams’ 95-yard interception is returned for a touchdown.

Adams was electric in this game as he not only solidified himself as a special teams threat, but a defensive threat as well.

3. Randall Goforth returns a fumble recovery 75 yards for a touchdown.

After Eric Kendricks knocks the ball out of a Virginia players hands, Goforth goes forth and runs it back for a touchdown and the second defensive score of the game against the Cavaliers.

2. Ishmael Adams’ 100-yard kick return against Arizona State.

This could easily be the #1 play, and I would not doubt that I would change it after I hit publish, but this is at least one of the two best plays in the season. Adams, shows what kind of athletic freak he is by dashing through the Arizona State special teams for one of the most impressive returns in the first half of the college football season.

1. Jerry’s World: Jerry Neuheisel connects with Jordan Payton for the winning touchdown over Texas.

It is pretty clear why this is the #1 play. Brett Hundley goes down and Neuehisel saves the day on a beautiful strike (which was set-up by one of many great punt returns by Ishmael Adams.
