It was a crazy game against Texas. Brett Hundley going down, Jerry Neuheisel stepping up and the Bruins digging deep to pull out the win at AT&T Stadium over Texas. UCLA is 3-0 to start the season after wins against Virginia, Memphis and the Longhorns, yet the Bruins were ranked #7 in the preseason AP poll to get pushed back to #12 this week. They are also #12 in the Coaches Poll, but no one cares about that one.

Sure, UCLA had some inconsistent play with offense and defense in the first two games, thrown in with a scary injury to the starting quarterback during a nationally televised game, but the point is, Bruin football has not lost yet, so we are they not moving forward?

UCLA, unlike some other LA schools, went back east and handled their business, getting a solid road win. Did the Bruins complain? Nope. They addressed their situation and tried to make improvements for the next game. Did UCLA fold when Texas was trying to hold’em to defeat? Nope. They fought back on all fronts to get that victory over the Longhorns.

So how is this for reality… Michigan State, which is 1-1, moved up two spots on a bye week in front of UCLA, after getting throttled by Oregon in their last game. UCLA, stayed at the #12 spot. LSU, who feasted on cupcakes the last two weeks, also moved up two spots to #8.

Although, when teams lose, they are getting the big shaft by the AP Poll. Georgia lost this weekend and moved from #6 to #13. USC went form #9 to #17. Louisville got knocked out of the Top 25 entirely from a, well look at that, a pretty good Virginia team. There is even more weirdness as Stanford, who shut out their opponent, moved from #15 to #16. Another teams wins and goes down in the polls? This is wacky!

So now we ask you, Bruin fans… putting everything into perspective, where do you think UCLA Football should be ranked? (For realistic purposes, we have given a limited range to the selection.)
