After an entire off-season of showing support to Jim Mora and the UCLA football team, Snoop Dogg showed up on ESPN’s Sports Center on Wednesday night wearing a USC football jersey. Snoop got a lot of flack from the Trojan fan base for apparently turning his back on USC as he was known as a longtime fan. During the Pete Carroll years, he would even show up on the sidelines in full USC garb.

Over the last seven months, Snoop has been posing with Jim Mora at UCLA’s facilities, posting pictures wearing UCLA gloves and even said that UCLA was “LA’s team” in a tweet regarding the Bruin’s alternate uniforms, “LA Steel”. Because of the friendship he developed with Mora, UCLA had even hosted the Snoop Youth Football League tournament. Snoop had also sported a UCLA Clothing jersey at the annual JazzReggae Festival.

Is this in regards to the Week 1 results of UCLA and USC where the Bruins had a less-than-stellar showing against Virginia while the Trojans smashed Fresno State? If so, he will be very disappointed when he realizes judging a team on one game is as ridiculous as reading the first chapter of a book and claiming you read the entire thing.

What is even more interesting is that Snoop recently released a line of shoes with Adidias. I wonder how the UCLA supplier feels about him wearing a USC jersey that is made by Nike? There might be a conflict of interest on that one.

I think I speak for both the fans of UCLA and USC when I say, “pick a side already!”
