We here at Go Joe Bruin cannot be anymore excited about football season starting and with that, we want to share an audio experience with you. We are trying something new this season to hype you up for game day, so the writers of GJB have gotten together to assemble a playlist, a Pregame Playlist.

More from UCLA Bruins

Normally, we will be releasing this the morning of game day, but since ESPN was so kind enough to grant us a wit a 9 a.m. UCLA Football Breakfast Special, we are real easing it a day early. Anyway, here are a few songs we thought really embodied our fervor for UCLA football. There are a few videos for your viewing pleasure as well. Whether you are in your home, on your way to the game, already at the tailgate or just generally need to rock out, we present…

The Go Joe Bruin Pregame Playlist, Virginia Edition:

1. “300 Violin Orchestra” – Jorge Quintero

You want “pump up” music. Here you go!

2. “From Out Of No Where” – Faith No More

You can pretty much say that UCLA came from out of nowhere when head coach

Jim Mora

took over.

3. “Boom Swagger Boom” – Murder City Devils

Bruins have Boom. They have Swagger. They have Boom. What a perfect song for a football team that sounds like BOOM.

4. “Beautiful” – Snoop Dogg

Because isn’t everything beautiful right now? The latest Brun fan knows a thing or two about that. He also knows a winner when he sees one.

5. “Golden Gaze” – Ian Brown

Take each day one at a time. Follow the game plan. Execute. And now show them what you are made of. Show them your (Blue and) Golden Gaze!

6. “Remember The Name” – Fort Minor

Remember the name, indeed. And what is it? U-C-L-A! What is it again? U-C-L-A! One more time… U-C-L-A! And now you know.

7. “Hello, I Love You” – The Doors

I bet if former UCLA student

Jim Morrison

grew up in this era, he would have written the song about UCLA and Jim Mora. That is just me, though.

8. “Lose Yourself” – Eminem

You want to get pumped up… WITH BASS?!?! Eminem has got you covered on that one.

9. “Protect Ya Neck” – Wu-Tang Clan

Yes Virginia, protect your neck. One of the best defenses in the country is coming after you, led by lats season’s leaden tackler,

Eric Kendricks

.

10. “Search And Destroy” – Iggy Pop

This song should be Myles Jack‘s personal theme song.

11. “Super Bad” – James Brown

In the same fashion, this could very well be the theme song for

Brett Hundley

.

12. “Dirt Off Your Shoulder” – Jay-Z

The Cavalier offensive is going to be needing to dust dirt off their shoulders after they get floored by Owamagbe Odighizuwa, Kenneth Clark and Eddie Vanderdoes.

13. “Attack” – System Of A Down

Yes indeed. UCLA… ATTACK!

14. “Revolution Rock” – The Clash

The #BruinRevolution rocks. This here Revolution rocks!

If you do not have it already, go ahead and get Spotify.

So hopefully you enjoyed our experiment. If you have any suggestions for future games, leave us a comment. If by chance you did not enjoy this, oh well. We are going to be doing it every week anyway.

Rock on and Go Bruins!
