With College Football fast approaching, everyone is getting in on the action of predicting their favorites for the 2014-15 season, especially the All-Powerful ESPN College GameDay. Lee Corso, Desmond Howard and Kirk Herbstreit, hosts of the seasonal pre-game show, spent Saturday morning breaking down every single conference’s winners, culminating with who will make it to the National Championship Game and be crowned King of College Football. The UCLA Bruins were in a lot of their conversations.

In regards to the Pac-12 Conference, it was pretty unanimous.

Now when it came down to who would hold up the newest college football national championship trophy, it was not unanimous, but very surprising.

Are the UCLA Bruins that good? They are certainly getting the recognition for being a top their team, but can they make it all the way to the championship game after battling through a tough Pac-12 schedule that includes contests against Arizona State, Oregon, Washington, USC and Stanford? No doubt that is a treacherous schedule, but the Bruins are a team in revolution. The defense is great, the offense is vastly improved from last season and special teams are incredible.

Maybe these critics, whose job it is to analyze college football, have it right. Maybe UCLA is the team to beat in 2014-15. We shall definitely see starting in one week.

Go Bruins!
