The Houston Texans Draft Xavier Su’a-Filo

Dec 31, 2013; El Paso, TX, USA; UCLA Bruins guard Xavier Su’a-Filo

With the 1st pick of the 2nd round and the 33rd overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft, the Houston Texans have selected UCLA offensive lineman, Xavier Su’a-Filo. He is the second Bruin football player to be picked in this year’s draft as Anthony Barr was picked 9th overall by the Minnesota Vikings. This is just more proof that the #BruinRevolution rolls on.

The Texans are getting a solid O-lineman that helped UCLA to a 10-3 record last season. In UCLA’s up-tempo style of football, he played mostly on the left side of the line protecting Heisman hopeful, Brett Hundley. He has experience playing left tackle, but is more suited for the left guard spot. He is a quick, intelligent and one hell of a get for Houston.

Here are some of Su’a-Filo’s highlights as a Bruin.

Congratulations, Mr. Su’a-Filo. You are now a Texan, GO BRUINS!
