National Signing Day 2014 may have just occurred less than a week away, but that has not stopped UCLA from pursuing commits (or commits to be pursued) for 2015. The UCLA Football team just got a HUGE commitment today as 4-star Jaason Lewis gave his pledge to be a Bruin for next year’s class.

Lewis plays a lot of positions, but the term “Athlete” best describes his abilities. According to 247Sports.com, Lewis can play wide receiver, running back and safety.  At 6’3”, 233 lbs. (and has a 40-time of 4.50) this Ocean Lakes product out of Virginia Beach, VA is the #22 ranked wide receiver according to Scout.com.

So far, UCLA has one heck of an athletic class coming in for 2015. Even though they only have three commitments to play for the Bruins, Lewis will be suiting up with three-star middle linebacker Victor Alexander out of Trinity Christian Academy in Jacksonville, FL and five-star tight end Aliz’e Jones from Las Vegas Bishop Gorman High School. This puts them, so far, in 247 Sport’s Top 20 Recruiting Classes for 2015.

Now here is why we like this commit at GJB… it continues to stack the offense with talented players, especially WRs. The Bruins have been bulking up with more defensive players lately than offensive threats., but because of the way UCLA is showing they can dominate, offensive minded players are giving the Bruins a good, hard look. Thank you Brett Hundley!

In this recent 2014 recruiting class, the Bruins got three commitments (1 three-star and 2 four-star) from some tall, athletic players who will support the aerial threat to provided by returners Devin Lucien, Devin Fuller and Jordan Payton. Again, thank you Hundley.

With Lewis committing early (and hopefully he is not the last), the Bruins will certainly be a dominating force through air in years to come. Imagine that, a UCLA team that has a scary defense AND offense. It gives us chills. Chalk it up to the #BruinRevolution.
