UCLA Football: The Bruins To Face Virginia Tech In The Sun Bowl

The stars at night, are big and bright!  Deep in the HEART of Texas!

That is right, Bruin fans, UCLA is headed to El Paso, Texas to face Virginia Tech from the Atlantic Coast Conference in the Hyundai Sun Bowl in the 80th presentation of the game. With BCS naming their selections for the four major bowls and the national championship, which you can view here, the rest of Bowls have fallen in place. Bruins, put your cowboy boots on, you are headed to the Lone Star State. And then put your cleats back on, because there is a game to be played.

With the amount of talent in the Pac-12 this year, Stanford playing in the Rose Bowl and Oregon not being able to use their resume to warrant a BCS berth, the other eight bowl eligible teams fit snuggly into bowl season. That gave UCLA, being the fourth best team in the conference, the fourth best available bowl.

You can visit the Sun Bowl’s website, www.sunbowl.org, to buy tickets, get parking information and search for places to stay whilst in The Sun City. And for your travel needs, here is a little bit of information about one of the greatest cities in Texas. Go, El Paso!
