Earlier this year, UCLA’s baseball team won its first ever College World Series to bring home the Bruins’ 109th NCAA team title. After a good—but far from great—regular season, UCLA got hot at the right time as the Bruins went on to beat multiple national seeds and secure a championship.
Since then, UCLA retained head coach John Savage, who was heavily recruited by USC, and have made many appearances nationwide to commemorate their accomplishment.
Now, it seems like Whole Foods has decided to commemorate the Bruins, too. From ace pitcher James Kaprielian:

This is awesome. UCLA has consistently found themselves within striking distance of a national title in baseball over the past few years and their seasons have ended in heartbreak. (In 2010, UCLA found themselves in the final series and two wins away from a championship, but fell to South Carolina, which would go on to repeat the season after.)
During this run, many criticized UCLA for “getting lucky” and capitalizing on opponents’ mistakes, bunting like crazy in the process. The baseball, for the casual fan, was boring and UCLA managed to take advantage of opportunities that they received.
Making this chocolate milk commemoration even better! The Bruins baseball team deserves all the praise it can get.
