While UCLA head coach Jim Mora has downplayed individual awards in favor of a team-oriented mentality, there’s no denying that some UCLA players have stood out from both the team and the entire Pac-12 conference.

And as a result, a few players were singled out for all-conference honors. Here’s the list of UCLA football players receiving recognition for the end-of-year honors:

1st Team All-Pac-12

OL Xavier Su’a-Filo: Sophomore.

LB Anthony Barr: Junior.

K Jeff Locke: Senior.

2nd Team All-Pac-12

RB Johnathan Franklin: Senior.

OL Jeff Baca: Senior.

DT Datone Jones: Senior.

Special Teams Player David Allen: Senior.

Quite a few players received some snubs, and among those is UCLA linebacker Eric Kendricks, the Pac-12’s leading tackler. Kendricks receives an honorable mention, and though it’s hard to argue against those Stanford linebackers, Kendricks’ excellence all season goes largely unnoticed.

Additionally, Brett Hundley was snubbed from the first- and second-teams. While Oregon QB Marcus Mariota is the shoo-in at the first-team slot, it’s hard to put Arizona QB Matt Scott ahead of Hundley in the second-team slot. Hundley, too, received honorable mentions.

Stanford head coach David Shaw also beat out UCLA coach Jim Mora for Pac-12 Coach of the Year honors. Although David Shaw has a one-game advantage over Mora (10-2 to UCLA’s 9-3), Shaw was not a first-year head coach inheriting a 6-8 team that lost to USC 50-0. And while we recognize Shaw is a fine coach who should win the award any other year, we’re also going to stick to homerism a bit here and say Mora was a tad more deserving.

Here’s the full slate of awards and honors, via the Pac-12:

Offensive Player of the Year: Marqise Lee, USC
Pat Tillman Defensive Player of the Year: Will Sutton, Arizona State
Freshman Offensive Player of the Year: Marcus Mariota, Oregon
Freshman Defensive Player of the Year: Leonard Williams, USC
Coach of the Year: David Shaw, Stanford
