UCLA struggled mightily moving the ball against Oregon State, but this weekend should be the complete opposite. Colorado is 177th in the nation in points allowed (38.8), and they give up 407 yards per game. Take two and two, UCLA should be able to dominate from the start. Getting off to a good start is important, I’d start by running it straight down their throat with Franklin and Co. Getting Franklin back on track is very important, when he struggles, we struggle. Colorado on the other side of the ball, averages 23 points per game. Their quarterback is a dual threat, he’s got an arm and he can run. Kind of like Hundley. UCLA’s pass defense was horrid last weekend, Sheldon Price got toasted, the whole LB core and DBs missed tackles. Swell reminder of last year. Coming into this game, our Bruins will be fired up after losing. Mora will NOT let them lose on the road, especially to Colorado. Hundley will do his thing, IF and thats a big IF, the receivers catch the ball. If our receiving core dropped so many passes, if they caught the majority of them, you have to think we would have been 4-0.

Our offensive line must block better, we should be getting senior center Jeff Baca back for Saturday, always a plus.

Back to the receiving core. Shaq Evans finally had his break-out game for us. Boy, he’s quick off the line. If we didn’t get his production last week, we would have been dead in the water. That being said, I say UCLA comes out victorious in style.

UCLA: 35 Colorado: 12.

Go Bruins!
